PERMIT – No Permit

California Fire Permit – Annual
Not needed since we have fires in the designated camp fire ring. Still, feel free please take the test and print your permit if you want to have for future situations.

GROUP CAMPING: BEGINNERS WELCOME!

Reminder
We are backpacking at New Brighton State Beach, which is in Capitola, CA. When you enter the campground, you will need to drive all the way down towards campsite 7, take the right turn, and you will see site 1, 2, 3, and then campsite 14. which will take you to a loop, and the campsites will be in back left side.

If you think you’re going the right direct, you’re going the right direction! lol.

note: you can arrive and leave whenever it’s best for you. You can also come for the day! It’s def a Santa Cruz vibe.

$0 for. the first 4 cars, $10 for each car afterwards
Poppy Pass for day-use are ok to use!

Friday
On Friday, afternoon (12-2pm) arrive at New Brighton State Back Campground. Please continue to drive to the end

Arrive at Campsite: 
12-2pm

Saturday SUP Conditions at Moss Landing:
High Tide: 6:22am 3.6ft / Low Tide: 12:47pm .2ft

Note:
A few of us will go SUP at Moss Landing Saturday morning. We will leave at 6am in order to be SUP at 7:30am or later. We will be back before 12pm.

There is no set itinerary for Saturday

Encouraged Activities:
*Day-hike at Nisene Marks SP or Henry Cowell Redwoods SP
* Urban Hike to Capitola, and grab coffee at Mr. Toots
*Lunch/Dinner at Capitola (walk/drive)
*Fishing
*SUP or Kayak (can rent at Seabright or Moss Landing)
*Watch sunset/sunrise by the beach

Arrive/Going

As a reminder, it’s a Santa Cruz vibe, come/go whenever you please. There is no better day/time for us, it’s all about what is best for you! Come early/late and stay the night or drive back home. Just keep us posted when you plan to arrive, and how many nights or not so we can keep tabs, and can welcome you or let you know where are we.

Parking for day-use:
we’re limited to parking spots at the campsite. Please contact us, and we can advise if you can park near the site or the New Brighton SB Parking (you park right at the beach

Food/drinks: bring whatever you enjoy to eat and drink. We have food/drinks, stoves, camping kit, percolator for coffee, and etc. But still bring whatever you plase!
