PERMIT – No Permit

California Fire Permit – Annual – Not needed since we have fires in the designated camp fire ring. Still, feel free please take the test and print your permit if you want to have for future situations.

ITINERARY

Saturday morning arrive at Palmoronian Trail Head Parking Lots
730-8am pm (check-in, park, get settled, review pack weight, gear shakedown)

Leave: 
8:30am

Arrive at Campsite: 
12:00-2 pm

Sunset: 
7:34 pm

Last Light:
7:54pm

First Light
6:40 am

Sunrise: 
7:06 am

Leave Campsite:
no later than 9 am

Return to cars: 
latest 2:00 pm

TRAIL INFORMATION: 
1000ft+ in elevation and the trail will be muddy in some places. Pit toilets are offered, and there is potable water at the site.

ROUTE INFORMATION:

Wildcat Campground is located in an open meadow on a bluff overlooking the ocean, with a short walk to the beach. One may access Wildcat Campground by foot, bicycle, or horse; not by boat, auto, or RV. It is a 6.3-mile hike from Bear Valley Trailhead or a 5.5-mile hike from the Palomarin Trailhead.
We’re taking the 5.5 mile hike. Expect a Google Map Link of the Route soon.
